A fantastic trans-generational exchange between 5ème students and nursing home residents.
For a few years now, Mrs. Dorothy Fox's students have been regularly visiting ‘Sunny bank’ Anglophone residents.
This exchange is perfectly consistent with the College reform, which encourages initiative and commitment. During these sharing moments, students learn about the life stories of their elderly partners: their childhood, their career, and their greatest memories. Seniors, from their side, appreciate passing on their experience and staying connected to the present thanks to the younger generation. Many thanks to Mrs. Fox who initiated and developed this project with her students with the help of Mrs. Rae McIver, ex-teacher at the CIV.
We hope to get this year's student feedback soon.
